Korres Pomegranate Gel-Cream Moistursier

Finding a moisturiser that suits my combination skin is one of the trickiest parts of my skincare routine. For a long time I wasn't using anything in particular, instead I chopped and changed moisturisers on the daily and didn't really like anything enough to settle on it. Recently though I've really made an effort to test out a few new options in the hopes of finding something to fit the bill, which is what I've been doing with the Korres Pomegranate Cream-Gel Moisturiser.

I've been having something of a Korres love-in at the moment, so it's only natural that I was drawn to the brand when hunting for an option for combination skin; which is exactly what this is. At first I was intrigued by the description of a 'cream-gel', and upon trying it I couldn't think of a better way to describe the consistency. It's incredibly lightweight and is a real dream to apply; sinking in to the skin effortlessly without leaving any residue or stickiness behind.

I've been having a few issues with my skin over the past month so applying something as cool and soothing as this is heavenly. It smells gorgeous (like most Korres products I've tried) and I'm especially attracted to the impressive list of natural ingredients that this one boasts. Like so many moisturisers it promises some kind of pore tightening effect, although I haven't personally noticed a difference from this or any similar products I've tried.

I feel as if this suits my skin type incredibly well, although I like to switch it up with a richer moisturiser a couple of nights a week to give my skin a boost of extra hydration when it needs it (at the moment I'm using Benefit's Total Moisture for that one). This isn't the most hydrating formula I've stumbled across and if your skin is incredibly dry I'd steer well clear, but keeping that heavier option on standby is more than enough for me. It balances my skin and keeps my dry areas moisturised as well as preventing any extra oiliness or shine, which is really all I could ask for from a product like this. It sits well under make-up and leaves a soft matte finish to the skin; making it great for use in the AM as well as the evening. It hasn't quite blown me away, but I like it enough to finish up the jar before buying anything else - which for me is saying something.
