First up is one of the newer additions to my day cream stash; the Clinique Repairwear Uplifting Firming Cream. I actually mentioned this in my recent Evening Skincare Staples video, but the inclusion of an SPF means that it undoubtedly sits most comfortably in the daytime category. I'm in no way denying that layering on the anti-ageing products is probably a little premature for my skin, but when it comes to packing in the protection they really can't be beaten. As mentioned, this little tub contains SPF 15 and a whole host of ingredients designed to protect and preserve a youthful complexion; preventing moisture loss and keeping skin looking plump and radiant throughout the day. For an anti-ageing product it's also incredibly hydrating and creates a lovely skin texture to apply makeup over the top of. What's not to love?
If it's natural skincare you're into then the Moisture Rich Face Cream from Balance Me may well be your best bet. Aimed at normal/dry skin types, this surprisingly isn't the most hydrating pick of the bunch but the natural protection it offers more than makes up for it. Containing Arctic Cloudberry (I'd never heard of it either) known for it's skin shielding properties, this is the perfect option if you want to protect your complexion from the elements in the most natural way possible.
You all know about my love for REN by now and their Global Protection Day Cream doesn't disappoint. A product that does exactly what it says on the tin, this protects the skin from day to day damage and pollution. Aimed at those with skin easily prone to sensitivity, it works to calm the complexion and prevent future discomfort. I reach for this on days I know I'll be heading into the city where my skin needs a little extra protection, as well as on days when everything feels a little more stressed than usual. Perfect.
Last but definitely not least, the Powerberry Daily Moisture lotion from Neals Yard is one that should grace every woman's morning routine. I call it a lotion rather than a moisturiser or a cream as it has a far thinner consistency than the others, although it's equally as hydrating. I've spoken about the scent of this before and I still can't make my mind up whether I love it or hate it, but it's definitely something I can get past, especially in light of all the positives about this product. Part of the NYR Antioxidant Skin Regime, it provides outer protection for the skin, using natural ingredients to keep the complexion looking and feeling healthy and youthful.
