Loreal 3 in 1 Micellar Solution - £4.99
Ever since I bought my first ever bottle of Bioderma way back last summer my love affair with micellar waters has only grown. I don't tend to wear masses of eye make up on a daily basis, but even so I love being able to remove it all quickly and effectively before carrying out the rest of my cleansing routine.
I've tried a few different brands now but for me nothing has topped Bioderma, until I spotted this little beauty a week or so ago. Part of Loreals new 'Skin Perfection' range, this is the brands first attempt at a micellar solution; versions of which have been cropping up all over the high street in recent months. At £4.99 for 200ml this is priced similarly to Bioderma so I was keen to see how it compared, especially as my current bottle of the latter has started to run dry now.
I was initially really attracted to the packaging. A clear plastic rectangular bottle, there's something about the shape of this that makes it seem really sleek - as you can tell I'm a sucker for branding! I use this every night as the first step of my routine, pouring a small amount onto a cotton pad, holding it over each eye for a few seconds and then wiping the make up away. The whole pull of micellar waters is that they dissolve make up without the need for pulling or rubbing, preventing the make up from just being moved around the face. Although all micellar waters are easy to use and relatively effective this is the only one I've tried that takes even the toughest of mascaras off without needing a little bit of scrubbing action. The tiniest drop of this does the job perfectly on both eyes; making even the notoriously stubborn 'They're Real!' by Benefit no match for this stuff. I love it and will definitely be making it my standard micellar water from now on, especially as it's so readily available on the UK high street! The range has only very recently been released and I haven't seen it everywhere yet but it's definitely something to keep your eyes peeled for as they have a few new cleansers out too.
(Superdrug currently have the range on offer for 2 products for £4.99 so that's definitely worth checking out! I bought this and the exfoliating scrub that I'll be reviewing soon!)
