Essie 'Bikini So Teeny'

Another Essie swatch but I promise this will be the last one for a while now (maybe!) It took me a little while to get into Essie as a brand. The first of their polishes I picked up, 'Not Just A Pretty Face' (review here) didn't do much for me and I was left a little disappointed by the quality of it; for £7.99 I was expecting a little more than I got. Since then however I've persevered and have managed to build up quite a collection of shades that I love; this being one of them. 'Bikini So Teeny' came out as part of Essie's Spring/Summer 2012 range and has become something of a cult colour ever since. It's a gorgeous medium blue with lilac undertones and is described by the brand as a 'sparking cornflower blue' shade. Whilst the word 'sparkling' put me off slightly to begin with I find that this actually has the perfect amount of shimmer and remains bright and shiny whilst still remaining subtle and not overly 'glittery' as it were. It flatters my pale skin like a dream and I can imagine it would do the same for darker tones too. Although this is officially a summer shade I've been using it throughout winter and I love it all the same; I can't wait to keep adding more to my collection!
