Superdrug Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser - £5.99 for 150ml
(Currently on offer at £2.99)
First things first - I apologise for the picture quality! I usually use my boyfriend's Nikon SLR to take blog pictures but one of us (mentioning no names...) happened to leave it on the windowsill and the lens got condensation inside which turned out to be a fatal move (boo!) We're getting a new camera ASAP but until then the
show blog must go on.
Anyway, on to the main topic of this post which comes from Superdrug's new 'Naturally Radiant' skincare range. I initially went into the store intending to pick up their Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser as I'd heard such good things about it but I picked this one up instead; partially because I like the idea of it making my skin appear more radiant and partially because it was on offer! The half price offer is an introductory one and you can find all of the products from this range at super cheap prices at the moment so it's definitely worth paying Superdrug a visit! I'd never tried a hot cloth cleanser before I purchased this so I can't compare it with any others (although it is meant to be pretty similar to Liz Earle's 'Cleanse and Polish'). I tend to be pretty lazy with my skincare/make up removal routine but this was the latest in a long line of products I've bought to try and alter that.
I tend to use Bioderma to remove my eye make up first and then use this afterwards for the rest of my face. The cleanser is applied to a wet face and it literally has the feeling of 'melting' into the skin as you massage it in, which I was quite surprised with as it does feel quite thick and creamy when it first comes out of the bottle. The box this comes in contains a free muslin cloth which is then made wet with hot water and used to wipe away any traces of the cleanser; taking any remaining make up and impurities with it. My skin can feel a tiny bit tight straight after using this, but this quickly goes as I apply my normal facial oil or moisturiser.
I really do like this cleanser a lot. It makes my skin feel completely clean and fresh and does genuinely live up to it's promise of a more radiant looking complexion; something that I really wasn't expecting to see considering its £3 price tag. I'm a lazy bum and wipe this off my face almost as soon as I've put it on but I've heard that leaving the cleanser on the skin for a little while is good too so I might give that a go next time I use it. My skin felt noticeably softer after just one use and although I haven't seen it make any difference to my blemishes quite yet I'm confident that it's doing a good job of cleaning out my pores which should help in the long run. My skin looks and feels healthy too which is perfect as it gets a little dull and drab around this time of year.
I feel like I'm singing this products praises far too much but I really would recommend it to anybody looking for a cheaper alternative to some of the high end hot cloth cleansers. I really can't fault it and will definitely be repurchasing!
