Elizabeth Arden Double Density Mascara Review

Elizabeth Arden Double Density Mascara - £8.00

I've never done a mascara review before despite it being something I wear every day without fail. I'm lucky enough to have naturally long lashes (and plenty of them!) but my fair hair means that black mascara really is my saviour. I've tried pretty much every brand going but I recently made my first ever Elizabeth Arden purchase and got my hands on their double density mascara. As far as I'm aware the product has actually been discontinued now (hence me getting it at such a bargain price) but it seems to be relatively easy to get hold of still. I bought mine at a discount store in my town but I'm sure you can have a scout about online and find it for a similar price!

When I first got this out of the box I was slightly worried as the brush seemed pretty dry considering it had never been used. I wasn't actually expecting it to make much of a difference to my lashes but I couldn't have been more wrong! The mascara promises maximum volume and it definitely delivers. Below is a picture of my lashes with just one coat on and I'm really impressed with the results!

My blonde lashes are well coated and look super black with just one coat of this. I'm a massive fan of high volume mascaras and always go for these over ones promising a difference in length and curl and in terms of density I feel confident that my lashes look thicker. With more than one coat my lashes just continue to multiply and I've never had an issue with clumping when using this; something which I've regularly experienced with volumising mascaras. I use this on my upper and lower lashes and have never found it smudges or flakes off during the day; in fact it tends to look just as good when I get home in the evening than it does when first applied. I'd definitely think about purchasing this again - providing I can find it!
