Things I'd Buy Again

Having managed to rein in my beauty obsession a little over the past few months I've been relishing making the most of the products I already own. I feel as though I've found some real gems in my collection that I'm more than happy to stick with for the time being.

For my base, the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and Bobbi Brown Corrector work wonders at correcting discolouration before I've even reached for concealer. Sheer Glow is a perfecting, hydrating foundation that leaves my skin looking practically flawless in one pump. The Corrector is a creamy, long lasting base that neutralises and diminishes the appearance of any blue or purple shadows around the under eyes. Both set with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in 'Diffused Light' and I can honestly say that my life long search for a base that works perfectly alongside my sensitive skin may well be over.

Fitting with the theme, the Estelle & Thild Fragrance Free Day and Night Creams have become staples for me over the past year or so; in fact the entire line of fragrance free products is well worth checking out if you skin has a tendency to get as grouchy as mine. Seche Vite is another one that I've repurchased multiple times now. I'm definitely one of those people that feels nude when I'm not wearing anything on my nails, so a top coat that dries in a matter of minutes is high on the top of my list. For my hair I'm still using the Bumble & Bumble Bb Texture Creme on a daily basis, whether it's after a full hair wash or on in-between days when my fringe just needs a touch up. Think beachy, matte texture without the sticky feeling and you're pretty much there.

I haven't worn out my first pair of Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers just yet, but the difference these make in opening the eye area is astounding. They're pricey, but I honestly can't imagine going back to another brand. Paired with my beloved Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara (either the Waterproof or 24hr versions are fine... in fact I can't tell the difference) and I couldn't really want more from my lashes. Finding an eyeliner look that works with my hooded eyes has been decidedly harder, but I've never found anything to work quite as well as the L'Oreal SuperLiner Perfect Slim. It's basically your traditional felt tip liner with an extra thin nib, allowing me to create the thinnest line possible without looking like I've coloured in my entire lid with a sharpie.
