Summer Holiday Beauty Essentials
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser
Being on holiday is the ultimate chance for me to leave the base behind and embrace a bare skin. The one product I did take along with me however is the NARS Tinted Moisturiser. It's become something of a cult classic, and for good reason, as it effortlessly evens and blurs the skin while looking completely undetectable. A light layer applied with my fingers is all I use on a day-to-day basis, while it's the perfect option for more 'put together' days on holiday too.
RMS Un-Cover Concealer
I actually ended up bringing a total of three concealers with me; Urban Decay's Naked Skin, Rimmel's Match Perfection and this - although this was the only one I ended up actually getting any use from. It's not long lasting enough to be used on more advanced breakouts, but as my skin has been improving it's perfect for correcting any niggly scars or pigmentation. It's incredibly lightweight for the level of coverage it gives, providing a fresh, dewy finish in unison with a good quality tinted moisturiser.
OUAI Wave Spray
Effortlessly tousled, beachy waves are all I've ever wanted from my naturally straight, limp hair - and I think I've finally found a product that achieves it. I've long been loyal to Bumble & Bumble's Surf Spray and, while that will always have a space on my dressing table, I'd go as far as to say that the OUAI option just tops it. It doesn't leave the hair feeling as parched as the Surf Spray, giving me the confidence to use it on a daily basis without doing too much damage. The result is soft, effortless waves without the demand for heat or additional styling products (the image to the right was a result of overnight air drying).
Benefit Gimme Brow
I bought this on a bit of a whim, having decided that there's no way I'd be bothered to apply my beloved Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade each morning. I tint my eyebrows every fortnight anyway, so they don't require 'filling in' as much as a quick tidy up. This is perfect for defining each and every hair without leaving my brows feeling loaded with product (on the contrary, I actually bought the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows before this and found it to be one of the most uncomfortable feeling beauty products I've ever used).
La Roche Posay Anthelios 50+ SPF Mist
One of a growing number of products I've purchased by recommendation of Sali Hughes, LRP's facial mist has single-handedly protected my sensitive skin this summer. As somebody who tends to break out at even the slightest whiff of an irritating ingredient, finding an effective SPF that doesn't have any negative effects is a dream. I actually really enjoy the mattifying effect this has on the skin too, finding it to work just as well over the top of makeup as it does when applied first thing.
