Midweek Pamper Essentials
At the moment I'm using the Grown Alchemist Deep Cleansing Masque twice a week. My skin has a real tendency to feel tired and congested, so applying a clay-based mask every few days is a vital step, especially around my chin area. The Grown Alchemist mask is one of the more gentle formulas that I've found and doesn't leave my dry skin feeling even more stripped of hydration (providing I use a good quality moisturiser afterwards). I also have two Kiehl's serums on the go at the moment - the Daily Reviving Concentrate* and the Midnight Recovery Concentrate*. It's actually the former that I prefer to use post-pamper, not least because the essence of ginger root gives the serum such a refreshing, uplifting scent. It's perfect for giving the skin a boost of radiance prior to moisturising.
While the Kiehl's Skin Rescuer* is my go-to moisturiser for everyday use, when I'm after something deeply nourishing I'm prone to swapping it out with the Ultra Facial Cream*. Both formulas are similar in that they hydrate the skin in a way that feels gentle and soothing, with the Ultra Facial Cream providing a slightly richer alternative on days my skin is in need of extra nourishment. This is around the time that I like to apply a thin layer of the Nuxe Reve de Miel* lip balm. A treatment-exfoliator hybrid, it's just about the only product that continues to make a real difference, even during winter. I'm a huge fan of the hand cream from the same range, too.
At the moment I'm trying to steer clear of anything too intense on my nails. After a few weeks of consistently using gel colours, I've actually been relishing the chance to leave them bare and give them a little time to breathe in between painting. I've been testing the Revlon Shine Addict Nail Buffer* for a few weeks now and so far I'm pretty impressed with the results. It's the first tool of its kind that I've used, but for someone with an aversion to going polish-free it really has helped to keep my nails looking and feeling their best. Even if you're not avoiding colour, taking care of your natural nails is the first step to achieving polish that sits evenly and is long lasting. Topshop Nail Colours are one of my favourite formulas on the high street and come in especially handy if you're on the hunt for a shade that's different to anything else in your collection.
