The Best Scented Candles That Won't Break The Bank
While I definitely fit the blogger cliche of being obsessed with scented candles, I'm the first to admit that spending a days wages on something that burns down in a matter of hours just isn't plausible for me. Over time I've built up a collection of mid-range candles that smell gorgeous, last well and don't break the bank. Lighting them is a treat, yet I don't feel guilty every time I do.
'Delicate notes of Baltic amber and schersmin with exotic mandarin and vanilla'
Skandinavisk candles offer some of the nicest scents that you can find on the mid-range market. KOTO has the tagline 'There's no place like home', and this soft, cosy fragrance lives next to my bed in preparation of evenings spent snuggled under a blanket with a good book.
'Fresh grass and crumpled leaves, ambered woods and hidden blankets in the dunes'
Woody, musky scents are my favourites without a doubt. RO has the tagline 'Tranquility', which is exactly what this fragrance evokes. It sits in the kitchen and instantly transports me outside whenever I smell it, with a scent of fresh grass and autumn leaves.
'A sensual, hand-blended candle with pure essential oils of Black Spice and Cedarwood'
My go-to bedtime fragrance, this is a warm, spicy scent that instantly relaxes. There's something distinctly sultry about it, yet it's subtle enough to be burned as I'm drifting off to sleep.
'A luscious, long-burning candle, hand-blended with pure Neroli and Sweet Orange oils'
The This Works candles are some of the longest burning in my collection. Neroli & Sweet Orange is calming and uplifting in equal measure, filling the room with a clean, fresh scent that completely unwinds me after a stressful day.
'A captivating musk with hints of vanilla bean and cedarwood'
I've had this candle for the longest time of them all, yet it still smells beautiful every time it's lit. This one sits in my lounge and fills the space with a soft, musky scent that lingers long after it's been blown out. I'm not usually a huge fan of vanilla-based fragrances, but this one breaks the trend and is one of my favourites of all.
'Calling to mind the musky descent of nightfall'
Fruity top notes of pineapple and mango really lift this one, which is completed by the kind of woody, musky base notes that I love. Like every other Yankee Candle that I own, it quickly fills the room with fragrance and burns down at a slower rate than many of the more expensive candles in my collection.
