True reds and classic nudes seem to be making an all too regular appearance on my nails lately; at least I can finally say I've found my niche. Despite this my collection keeps growing, with more and more poppy hues making up the numbers in my (recently streamlined) stash. My favourite at the moment is Essie's Hip-Anema; a vibrant, orange toned red that's seen equal amounts of wear on my fingers and toes over recent weeks.
I picked my bottle up in TK Maxx - a secret haven for beauty products that aren't readily available in UK stores. The polish is from the Essie Professional line; meaning that it doesn't have the wide brush that makes the diffusion polishes so easy to apply. The longevity of this one isn't anything to shout about either, which is a shame as it's such a pretty shade. Essie formulas tend to be incredibly hit and miss in that sense and unfortunately this just happens to be one of the lousy ones. It's a gorgeous colour and that kind of makes up for it, but if you're not a fan of frequent touch ups this is probably one to leave.
