A Hidden Gem: M&S Beauty Hall

Turns out there's no feeling more satisfying than finding a brand new beauty hall nestled away somewhere that you never even dreamed of looking in. I've been aware of M&S's cosmetic range for a while now (Emma's review on their Perfection Moisture Lipstick was one of the first blog posts I ever read, can you believe) but none of their products ever really appealed to me. I'd had a snoop in store in the past and picked up the occasional nail polish and one beautiful nude lip colour, but I was pretty certain that was as far as the love affair would go. However I recently decided to have a nosey around in store and stumbled across a haven for makeup, skincare and hair products that I previously never even knew existed... I can already hear my debit card yelping in fright!

My favourite area of the beauty hall is of course the skincare section (who could have anticipated anything else?) Packed full of brands hand-picked by M&S for their focus on natural, organic formulas and ingrediants, the shelves are a haven for skincare addicts like myself. Despite living in a city I often find that some of my favourite brands are only available online and often don't have full concessions even when they can be found in larger department stores, but M&S have solved that problem. It's my go-to store when I'm after the latest offerings from REN, Murad, Nuxe or Jurlique, plus there's a whole range of other brands that even I as a beauty blogger haven't come across and can't wait to try out! I picked up a few gems from Apivita recently and I'm really looking forward to writing more about them on my blog, so far so good!

Alongside the skincare sits shelves full of haircare to suit everyone's taste. Philip Kingsley, Apivita and Australian Botanicals are some of the premium brands included that made me swoon - although I couldn't help but be taken in by the packaging of Tara Smith's products. Not being particularly 'in the know' when it comes to hair maintenance I'd never stumbled across the brand before, but after a bit of research it would seem I've been living under a rock not to have noticed the vegan haircare giant sooner. I've added the Feed The Root Shampoo and Shine On Conditioner to my wishlist and I can't wait to give them both a go!

Turns out M&S have taken some pretty big steps towards becoming a big player in the high street beauty wars. Alongside the products and brands I've mentioned, they've also upped their game by adding more luxury bath and body brands to their shelves too. Whilst the range of brands and products available in store will largely depend on the branch's location and size, everything is available online with free next day delivery to stores. I'd definitely recommend checking out their special offers section too as freebies and samples are available with purchases from a whole range of amazing brands. Go go go!
