Working from home can be a bore sometimes and with not much to do I like to have a back-up makeup plan for those last minute trips to the local shops or when I head out to walk the dog. During the week I tend to give my skin a break from anything too heavy, instead opting for a simple look created using just 5 staple products.
As always I start with my base. Benefit Erase Paste is applied under my eyes, around my nose and onto any niggly little blemishes I may have. Over the top of that I sweep a light dusting of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish to even out my complexion and mattify my skin. Both products work incredibly well together to give me a naturally flawless looking base whilst still allowing my skin to breathe. Boots 17 Shimmer Brick in 'Pink Bronze' is then applied to my cheekbones to add a subtle bit of warmth to my skin and brighten up my complexion a little. Next up, after brushing through my brows I mix the shades 'W.O.S' and 'Naked 2' from my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette and use the powder to fill in any little gaps and give my eyebrows some much needed definition. Finally I finish off with a quick slick of Benefit They're Real Mascara; perfect for adding colour to my fair lashes without looking too OTT.
And voila! A simple, basic everyday make up look is complete without spending more than 3 minutes in front of the mirror. I'd recommend trying all of these products out as they're all incredibly simple to use and do what they say on the tin.
