My eyesight has been a constant point of conflict since Calum and I met 6 years ago. He's always been convinced that I can't see, especially at longer distances. I, on the other hand, have always boasted about having great eyesight.

After years of debate I finally bit the bullet and got my eyes tested.

I have to admit that by the time my eye test rolled around I was expecting them to find something wrong at least. I've been getting headaches from sitting at the computer for as long as I can remember. And let's face it, 75% of my time is spent in front of one. I'm also completely blind in the dark - something that I'd assumed was completely normal until my test.

I'd never had an eye test before, but in hindsight I have no idea what I was so nervous about. I got it done at my local Boots and the whole process was quick, easy and painless. My optician was lovely and really took the time to explain the ins and outs of my prescription.

The result? I got glasses. I don't need to wear them everyday and it's only really my right eye that needs a strong prescription. Contact lenses were never really an option for me, so instead I set about trying to find a pair of frames that are of a good quality but are still cheap enough to throw into my bag when I'm not using them. After weeks of searching, I finally settled on the Ray-Ban 2180V frames in Dark Havana. I went against everything that I was advised and plumped for a round frame despite my round face and I'm really pleased with them - even if they do accentuate my chubby cheeks a little.
