The Good, The Bad & The Really Great: Foundations for Dry Skin

Phew! Possibly the longest post/video title I've ever dreamt up... I really didn't think this one through, did I?

My skin has undoubtedly got drier as I've gotten older. Although I've never had particularly oily skin, when I reached my 20's I found it to feel particularly tight and dehydrated no matter which moisturisers I use. Finding a base that sits nicely and doesn't cling to any dry areas has been a real struggle and something that I actually found surprisingly difficult considering how many different formulas are available. A few people have asked me for my recommendations, so I thought a good way would be to choose a few good bases for dry skin, a few great ones and a few that (in my humble opinion) us with dry skin should steer well clear of.

THE BAD

  • Laura Mercier Silk Creme
  • Liz Earle Signature
