The Cleanser That Changed My Skin

I've mentioned the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm a few times before (ahem) but it really is worth the rave reviews it gets. I've been using it religiously for well over a year now and it's single handedly had an effect on the way that I choose to take care of my skin.

A couple of months ago I wrote this post on the secret to happy skin. As someone that has suffered with problematic skin in the past, the one piece of advice that I can give is to listen to your own. Ignoring the allure of hyped up, on-trend skincare in favour of a handful of products that really do work for me has made a whole world of difference and is exactly where I begin to sing the praises of the Clinique balm. Unfragranced, free from essential oils and just about as fuss-free as they come. I love it. And, fortunately for me, so does my skin.

This and a healthy dollop of pure coconut oil are currently all that my evening cleanse consists of. Both work wonders at removing every scrap of makeup without aggravating my skin's sensitivity. The downside? It has a reputation for being bloody hard to get hold of. I've resigned myself to ordering online for the most part as many counters I've visited in the past have had issues with stock or have simply sold out due to high demand. Still, finding a product that works so well for me makes that extra bit of leg work worthwhile.
