I first mentioned the idea of slimming down my makeup collection into something a little more 'capsule' back in July; and in all honesty very little has changed since then. Over the summer I've made a conscious effort to hold back on buying new beauty products and not much has actually caught my eye anyway. As I get older I'm finding that I enjoy spending my money on different things, but there have been a couple of additions to my list of must haves.
I've added the Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in the shade 04 Rose Tweed to the list as it's pretty much the perfect nude lip for me - although I do have my eye on a Chanel option that may change things up over the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know how that goes. It does mean that the only lip product I need to find is the perfect red, although given my fear of bold lips that might be a difficult one to solve - any recommendations are welcome as always!
My collection of eye products has been made complete with the MAC Groundwork Paint Pot; my pick when I'm after a one-step wash of colour over the lids. The paint pots are easy to blend and super long lasting with Groundwork being one of my favourites of the lot. Whenever I go away I'm sure to pack this one so it's only right it makes the cut. The perfect foundation is really hard to find, but I've found a great one in the Diorskin Nude Makeup; providing flawless skin without clinging to dry patches or accentuating oilier areas. It's a goodun, but possibly not the best on the market, so I've also added MAC's Face & Body for good measure. This is a relatively new find for me so I haven't made my mind up completely, but so far so good.
