Blogs Worth Bookmarking | A Yearly Roundup

2014 has been the year of the blog. Or, perhaps more accurately, the blogger. The immensity of some of the achievements of bloggers and YouTubers over the past twelve months is overwhelming and I’ve been enjoying the fresh content put out by creators more than ever before. I feel as though the blogging community is heading in such an exciting direction with more and more people pushing the boundaries and breaking away from traditional formats and conventions. I'm really looking forward to working on my own little space in the new year, but for now a few words about some of my favourite reads from the past 12 months...

Two of my favourites this year have been afterDRK and The Private Life of a Girl, both of which have really been bringing it in terms of creating fresh, exciting content that's different from anything else out there. The Little Magpie has been a constant go-to for fashion advice and inspiration and That Grace Girl has become one of my favourite beauty blogs to read over recent months.

My favourite posts of the year include Alix's guide to cheating perfect lips, Into The Gloss' interview with i-D editor Isamaya Ffrench and Carrie's post about body image; a real eye opener and something that definitely needs to be discussed a little more within the blogging community.

When it comes to YouTube, heyclaire and chrissstttiiine have been firm favourites throughout the year. Both are incredibly relatable, effortlessly cool and the first people I look for when scrolling through my subscriptions feed. I've also been a huge fan of sunbeamsjess, who is doing truly amazing things with her channel and editing lately. It's so refreshing to see somebody doing something different on a platform as crowded as YouTube and all three ladies have really inspired me to make a real effort with my channel in the new year.

And a few others…
