It's safe to say that red shadow isn't usually my thing, but I've been gradually convinced to give the rusted eye look a go after seeing it look wicked on so many people.
My product of choice is Maybelline's Colour Tattoo in the shade Metallic Pomegranate. Admittedly the purse friendly price tag was the initial draw, although the cream shadow formula came a close second. To apply, I pack the product on to the lid with my ring finger and blend out with a soft, fluffy brush. I'm not brave enough to risk the red underneath my eyes just yet, so I tend to smudge a little bit of MAC's Coffee Eye Pencil through the lower lash line instead. It's far less daunting on the lid than it looks in the pot, in fact I sometimes find it a bit of a chore to build up enough colour to really make an impact. Even so, I'd rather have the option of a more subtle finish as and when I want one. The shadow itself lasts a really long time, is easy to blend and great to work with alongside other products - I don't really have a bad word to say about it. And the burgundy eye look in general? I'm sold.
