Cream products are my thing, even more so multi-purpose ones. Nothing beats them in terms of convenience and ease of use. My favourites have always been the Stila Convertible Colours, of which there are a whole host of beautiful shades to choose from (Peony being a personal favourite). This kind of cheek and lip colour hybrid ticks all of the boxes for me in terms of being travel friendly, quick to apply and relatively fool proof.
The newest addition to my collection is the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in the shade Powder Pink*. It's a mid-toned pink with a hint of mauve that sits well within my comfort zone and I have to say I'm smitten. I use products like this when I want to achieve a simple makeup look with minimal fuss; something that this is great for. Swept onto the apples of the cheeks with my fingers, this creates that softly flushed glow that I so crave, maintaining a natural looking finish on the skin. The product is pretty highly pigmented so a light hand is definitely recommended when using this on the cheeks, but it can easily be built up to something more noticeable if that's what your after. Even so, it's on the lips that this product really does shine. I've mentioned before that when using the Stila CC's I recommend applying a hefty amount of lip balm as they have a tendency to feel a little dry, something that I haven't found to be as much of an issue with the Bobbi Brown option. It's still not the most comfortable formula I've tried, but the shade reminds me a lot of MAC's Brave when applied and the lasting time is a good 3-4 hours - not too shabby at all.
